Embraco
and EECON (Embraco Electronic Controls), a company
specialized in developing, manufacturing and
selling electronic controls for home appliances,
have both established a partnership with the
navigator Amyr Klink, for his expedition to South
Georgia (Antarctica). For the first time, on
the 12th January, Amyr Klink began
his expedition from the docks of the National
Sea Museum, in São Francisco do Sul – SC,
Brazil, which is located on the vicinity of Joinville,
home of Embraco and EECON. One of the objectives of
this expedition had been of environmental
character: the
crew recorded, in photos
and videos, rare birds
that later will be scientifically
classified. Amyr
returned to
São Francisco
do Sul
on
the 18th February.

The sailboat Paratii 2
is equipped with a refrigeration system that
runs with Embraco VCC – Commercial Refrigeration.
Such compressor has just been launched in the
international market. “The system allows
low energy consumption, and its noise level is
very low”, said the navigator. The reduction
in energy consumption of the Commercial Embraco
VCC may reach 40% in comparison to the consumption
of a standard compressor.

For Laércio Hardt, Corporate
Officer of Sales and Marketing at Embraco, the use
of the product under extreme conditions is a good
way to test a series of components, in order to improve
them. “From 2002, Embraco has been a partner
to Amyr Klink, and his previous journeys have allowed
us to perform relevant analysis of our product. The
compressor that is being used on Paratii 2 is already
fitted with some of the evolutions that came from
such experiences”.
